Every animal at Gather ‘Round Acres has a personality, a purpose, and a story to tell. Some provide fresh eggs, some help protect the farm, some keep the pasture trimmed, and some simply make us laugh every single day. Around here, they aren’t just animals—they’re part of the family, and we’d love to introduce you.
🐾 Meet Mocha & Boss
Every farm needs a good pair of guardians, and ours take that job seriously. Loyal, intelligent, and always keeping a watchful eye on the property, our German Shepherds are constant companions through every season. Whether they’re checking the fence line, following us around the farm, or quietly watching over little Jack, they are as much a part of our family as anyone else.
❤️ Mocha

Mocha, our beautiful 10-year-old girl, has always been the gentle heart of the farm. She’s an old soul who loves every animal here. Rather than getting in the middle of the excitement, she prefers to watch over everyone from a distance, quietly making sure all is well. It’s almost as if she has appointed herself the guardian of Gather ‘Round Acres, and she’s been doing that job with love for years.
🐾 Boss

Then there’s Boss—our seven-month-old puppy and self-appointed “yard boss.” Full of energy and curiosity, he believes every day is an adventure. His favorite pastime is trying to convince Mocha to play, usually by running circles around her and giving her backside a playful little nip before darting away. Thankfully, Mocha has endless patience with him.
Boss is still learning the ropes, and there’s no better teacher than Mocha. She shows him how to respect the other animals, how to keep a watchful eye on the property, and what it truly means to be a farm dog. He may think he’s the boss of the yard already… at least until Mocha reminds him who’s really in charge.
🐐 Meet the Girls
If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that every goat has a personality all her own. They may all be pygmy goats, but no two are alike, and every one of them has found her own special place here at Gather ‘Round Acres.
👑 Lagatha
Lagatha is where our goat story began. One of the very first goats to call Gather ‘Round Acres home, she’s raised many kids here over the years and has earned her place as the leader of the herd. Most days she’s calm and confident, happily keeping everyone in line—but when someone new joins the group, she isn’t afraid to remind them who’s in charge. Around here, Lagatha is the queen of the pasture, and everyone knows it.
🎨 Lilly
Lilly is impossible not to love. With her beautiful tri-coloured coat and her adorable crooked bottom jaw, she’s one of the farm’s biggest personalities. She’s playful, curious, and always seems to be in the middle of whatever is going on. Her little crooked smile just makes her even more charming.
🌙 Luna
Luna is one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. If grain treats are anywhere nearby, she’ll greet you with the funniest Chewbacca-like noises you’ve ever heard, and it’s impossible not to laugh. When the sunlight hits her coat just right, she almost shines with a soft lilac colour that’s as unique as she is.
🦃 Fat Lois
Poor Lois never stood a chance of keeping her original name. As a baby, she absolutely loved her mom Luna’s milk and grew into the roundest little butterball you’ve ever seen. Watching her run around the pasture with her tiny legs and perfectly round belly reminded us of a little Thanksgiving turkey, and before long everyone was calling her Fat Lois. The name stuck—and somehow it fits her perfectly.
🍼 Millie
Millie has one of the most special stories on the farm.
When she was born, her mother rejected her, so she came into our house to be bottle-fed around the clock. For the first couple of months of her life, she wasn’t just a farm animal—she was part of the household.
During that time, something incredible happened. Mocha, our German Shepherd, completely took Millie under her wing. She watched over her, protected her, and loved her like she was one of her own puppies.
When it came time for Millie to move back outside, life wasn’t easy. The other goats picked on her because she was so small. So we found her a best friend—a little lamb named Marsha.
The two became inseparable.
Even now, years later, they still choose each other every single day. They sleep together in their own little house at night and are rarely far apart. Some friendships are simply meant to be, and Millie and Marsha remind us of that every day.
